Louis James Majors Sr. was born on January 28, 1936 in The Plains, Va., to December Lambert and Nathaniel Ford. At an early age Louis moved to Alexandria Virginia and stared attending Joseph's Catholic School and Church. He later converted to Catholicism and remained an active member of St. Joseph's until his health failed him in 2013.
Louis met the love of his life at the age of 18, Shirley Norton, and after a brief courtship, they were united in Holy Matrimony on October 28, 1954 by Fr. John Malloy at St. Joseph Catholic Church. From the two of them, Louis Jr., Kenneth, June, Patricia, Sharon, Curtis, Anthony, Eric and George were born.
On Monday, May 13, 2019, Louis departed his earthly home to spend eternity with his Heavenly Father. He leaves to cherish his memory his children, June, Patricia, Curtis, Anthony and Eric. Three daughter-in-laws, Amanda (Anthony), Stephanie (George) and Sherenna (Kenneth). He also leaves to cherish his memory a longtime dear friend, Kizzie Smith and extended family, Rose and "Rae".
And last but certainly not least, his tried and true, trusted and faithful, there till the end, his four-legged "BEST" friend…..BARRY WHITE SMITH-MAJORS!!!
