Condolences to the Garret family. So grateful for the years at Gum Springs gym with Ms. Judy we were from the early 80's generation. I appreciate all the time she took in helping to mold us while raising her family. It takes a village and she was a big part of that village. From the football games to taking the team to McDonalds after to Trouble Funk, E.U., Ovation and Junkyard playing at the gym you were appreciated. Ms. Judy take your rest and may peace be with your family.

Judy, a special woman who loved and cherished family and community. You kept me "in check", throughout the years and taught me to give in spite of how you are treated. You embraced me like family and then we became family through marriage. I am going to miss your advice, wisdom and most of all wit. Rest easy #NubianQueen, your legacy lives on through your footprints on and in our heart.

Mrs. Judy helped mold me into the person I am today. I spent so many days/hours at the gym & at your house way back in the day. Tasha & I use to bug Ms. Judy daily!! Our whole neighborhood did! You will forever be in my heart. I can not think of my childhood without thinking of you. May you rest in peace.
Love,
Erica

Auntie, I love you, we all miss you. I sit here with a heavy heart knowing that youre no longer in pain, but selfishly wanting to see and spend more time with you. While I may not be there to say these exact words, you have always been a woman that I looked up to and appreciated. Auntie Rest in Heaven and continue to look over all of US!

Ms. Judy,
I remember everything you told me about stepping up to work in our community. Your work will not go in vain. Avarie was very upset to hear of your passing and she says she will always cherish your memory. Thank you for being so vital in my childhood. If it weren't for people like you, Ms. Yvonne, Ms. Ruth, Shainey, Harry, Lawrence and a few others, I would probably be lost. You will be sorely missed.
