Dear Family of Mack Alston:
With deep and profound sympathy, I extend my condolences on the loss of your dear Mack. I remember Mack as a very gentle, kind and friendly young man at Maryland Eastern Shore. I fondly remember watching him playing in the NFL and thinking of what an asset he was to professional football, but more importantly to humanity. To God be the Glory for the great things He has done! I am grateful for the life of Mack Alston. I had no biological children but Mack Alston was truly like an adopted son to me. I met him in more than thirty years ago and over the years, we enjoyed a beautiful father son relationship. I turned 90 this year and over the years as my health failed, Mack never missed an opportunity to check in on me, visit me, take me to doctors appointments and make sure that I had everything that I needed. I am so happy to know that during his illness, he grew strong spiritually and definitely knew the Lord. I know that the Angels in Heaven must be rejoicing to have Mack home. To Rose, may the peace that God gives sustain your family during this time of sorrow. I pray that the memories of special times with Mack which live in your heart will sustain you in the days ahead. As the days become more difficult I pray that you will remember the words in the 121 Psalm verse 1: I will lift up my eyes unto the hills, from which comes my help. Love and Blessings. May the peace God gives sustain your family during this difficult time. Lean on one another as the days ahead become too hard to bear alone. Share your memories they will be a source of joy. Seeing the promises in God's word the bible will help you to gain strength and fortify your hearts, granting you comfort. (2 Thessalonians 2:16,17; jw.org)
