Joan Smith Obituary

Joan M. Smith was born in 1944. She was a long-time resident of the Alexandria, VA area. One of her biggest joys was when she and Troy E. Smith, Sr. were blessed with a son, Troy E. Smith, Jr.

She worked for the Deputy Chief of Staff for Financial Management as an Administrative Officer. This is where she retired from.
Joan was a high energy person who loved her family and friends. She was also a member of Bethlehem Baptist Church.
Joan died at home on Tuesday, June 25, 2019.

She is survived by her son, Troy, Jr.; her daughter-in-law, Amanda Lamber-Smith; four grandchildren: Victoria Davis, Thomas Smith, Carmon Cordero, and Rashad Lambert; six great-grandchildren, her best friend, Suzanne Lawton, an a host of nieces, nephews and other relatives and friends.
