Mr. Coles, God gave us an angel here on Earth to touch our lives....as heaven welcomes you home, you will certainly be greeted with open arms for a job well done in the human state. May we all be able to return home with such glory!

Mr Coles made Herndon High School better because he filled the halls with infinite wisdom, love and his signature shuffle. May his family find solace in knowing that many others were touched by this gentle man. Mr. Coles you were loved immensely and I'm ever grateful of your presence during your time st HHS. So many staff and students are better because we knew you!

I wish everyone approached life as exuberantly as Mr. Coles! He was always positive and had a smile or laugh to share with those whom he interacted. His life experiences served as his stories of encouragement, support and motivation for others. He always had a book in his hand as a subtle reminder of the importance of educating oneself and proving a platform for conversation on any and all topics. A humble man who I respected tremendously. I only wish the world had more people of the caliber as Mr. Coles.

Peter was one of my first friends at Herndon High School. We bonded over book club, but he ALWAYS stopped me in the hall with a kind word, story, or to talk about what we were reading. He left this world better than he found it.

It was my honor to work with Peter Coles for many years at Herndon High School. He was as good a man as I have ever known. Fair winds, my friend.
